Keep Your Sword Handy

Don’t get so caught up in everyday affairs that you forget to stay armed! Our jobs, children, hopes, and disappointments can take a toll on the keen awareness we must have while pursuing our God-ordained purpose. Satan loves to keep us off guard. Not protecting what God has placed in our lives for our benefit, will make those things an easy target for Satan.

While you’re doing your daily chores and handling responsibilities, keep your sword nearby just as the workers did who worked on rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem. Your sword is the Word of God. Work with one hand, while holding a weapon of righteousness with the other.
