Negative Voices

“Then the Jews who lived near them came and told us ten times over, “Wherever you turn, they will attack us.”

While the builders in Jerusalem were rebuilding the walls around the city, there were constant threats hurled at them with the purpose of stopping the rebuilding project.

To make matters worse, there were relatives/kinsmen of the builders who kept reminding the builders that they will eventually be attacked and possibly defeated.

These relatives should have been helping to build the wall and protect the interest in Israel, but instead, all they did was talk negative and attempt to discourage their brothers from successfully rebuilding the walls.

This should be of no surprise, you’ll always have the bystanders watching you work, fight, struggle at times, and will never offer to help you! All they bring is negative news!

Listen, when you are being battered by certain people with negative news, just keep your focus on what you are doing. Do not be discouraged. Be encouraged that if the builders of the walls of Jerusalem were successful in rebuilding the walls, no that God will also see your project to completion!
